Corticobasal implants are a type of dental implant designed for immediate loading and are used in patients with minimal bone volume or poor bone quality. Unlike traditional implants that rely on the quantity and quality of spongy bone, corticobasal implants anchor into the basal (cortical) bone layer, which is denser and more stable. This allows for quicker integration and often eliminates the need for bone grafting procedures. They are particularly beneficial in cases of severe atrophy or when patients require a fixed restoration in a short time frame. Our expert Dr Numaan Nisar will take you through all these procedures.
