Overview
Laser dentistry has transformed the way clinicians approach surgical and soft-tissue procedures—offering unmatched precision, excellent hemostasis, reduced postoperative discomfort, and faster healing. Phototonic Power & Clinical Skill: Cut, Coagulate, Heal is a one-day offline workshop at the IIDR Center. It helps dentists confidently understand and apply laser technology in everyday clinical practice.
This immersive program builds a strong foundation in laser science while emphasizing practical clinical application. Thus, participants gain clear insight into laser–tissue interaction, wavelength selection, power settings, safety protocols, and ergonomics. The workshop covers a wide spectrum of clinical applications, including soft-tissue surgeries, periodontal procedures, gingivectomy and gingivoplasty, frenectomy, depigmentation, operculectomy, crown lengthening, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. The focus remains on achieving clean cuts, effective coagulation, reduced bleeding, and enhanced healing outcomes.
Led by IIDR, led by Course Mentor Dr. Lavisha Garg on 28th March 2026, this workshop blends theory, demonstrations, and hands-on training. Participants practice laser handling on vegetables to understand control, depth, and precision in a safe setting. Then, a live patient demonstration showcases real-time protocols, patient management, and clinical workflow, bridging training with chairside practice.
By the end of the program, participants confidently select cases, set correct laser parameters, and integrate lasers into daily workflows. As a result, they enhance precision, improve patient comfort, and deliver predictable, minimally invasive, high-value care.
