At the end of this course, you should be able to :

1) Identify suitable journals and learn how to select appropriate dental or interdisciplinary journals based on scope, audience, and impact.

2) Identify relevant research topics in dentistry that align with your clinical interests and academic goals. Search and screen existing literature using research databases like PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar.

3) Gain insight into structuring an article (abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, references). Understand the structure and methodology of a systematic review and meta-analysis.

4) Formulate a research question using the PICO framework and define inclusion/exclusion criteria. Apply ethical principles in publishing. Understand plagiarism, authorship guidelines, and ethical considerations in dental research writing.

5) Learn how to prepare a manuscript for submission, respond to reviewers’ comments, and manage revisions. Enhance writing skills. Acquire tips for writing clear, concise, and scientifically sound papers that appeal to reviewers and readers.
