About the Speaker
Dr. Shantanu Sanjiv Deshpande, an accomplished pediatric and preventive dentist, who completed his BDS from Terna Dental College, Navi Mumbai (2013) and went on to earn his MDS in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (2018). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry at Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, where his research focuses on the effects of zeolite-mixed glass ionomer cement on odontogenic differentiation of stem cells from deciduous teeth.
He has served as a Senior Lecturer at Terna Dental College and is presently an Assistant Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai. Alongside academics, he maintains a thriving private practice at Toothville Pediatric and Family Dental Care, and also consults at several clinics across Mumbai.
Dr. Deshpande is a prolific researcher and author, with numerous publications in PubMed- and Scopus-indexed journals, covering topics from pediatric dental techniques to advanced biomaterials. He has presented his work at multiple national and international conferences, and has also chaired scientific sessions at ISPPD conventions.
With his unique blend of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and innovative research, Dr. Shantanu Deshpande is dedicated to advancing pediatric dentistry and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
