About the Speaker
The speaker Dr Sarika.A.S is an MDS graduate in Oral Medicine and Radiology from Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, BIHER, Chennai, with a strong academic and clinical foundation. She has also completed advanced training in implant dentistry and holds a Diploma in Yoga, reflecting a holistic approach to patient care.
She has an active academic profile with multiple national and international publications and ongoing research work, and regularly contributes as an author and reviewer in scientific platforms. Her core research interests include oral mucosal lesions, potentially malignant disorders, orofacial pain, laser therapy, salivary diagnostics, ultrasonography in oral medicine, and early oral cancer detection.
An award-winning academician, she has received top honors at national conferences for paper and poster presentations and has contributed to academic book publications. She actively participates in national and international conferences, workshops, and certified training programs, particularly in advanced imaging, laser dentistry, research methodology, and oral cancer diagnostics.
Clinically, she has extensive hands-on experience as a Senior Resident, managing OPD services, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Her expertise includes laser-assisted procedures, photobiomodulation therapy, ultrasound and TENS therapy for orofacial pain, implant procedures, FNAC, and comprehensive radiographic interpretation including CBCT. She has performed over 2000 clinical procedures during her undergraduate training alone.
She is a Life Member of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) and strongly believes in evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and early disease detection, making her a valuable speaker for clinically relevant and academically sound sessions.
